Sourcing consultants in specialist sectors with a limited pool of suppliers face a challenge. Whilst their primary loyalty is to their client, consultants must maintain good relations with the suppliers. This can be difficult when the consultant is re-issuing lengthy and time consuming RFxs and when some suppliers never seem to win the contract.

Reusing answers between Projects

SupplierSelect is the only RFx software that enables suppliers to copy(import) answers between projects, where the same questions are found in both projects. This feature provides very significant efficiencies.

Firstly, it significantly reduces the cost of bidding for a supplier. This means that the consultant can attract more bidders to their projects, collect more data, produce better comparisons, and deliver a better result to the client.

Secondly, when a respondent copies answers from a previous project, scores are also silently copied. This means that the consultant need only score those answers that have changed. For answers that have been imported and then edited, SupplierSelect provides automated difference highlighting tools to quickly identify changes.

Client View - Project Participants

Consultants often need to provide clients with access to the RFP website. However, they may wish to restrict the permissions of the client so that, for example, the client can read respondents' answers, but cannot update the scores entered by the consultant.

SupplierSelect allows consultants to add one or more Participant organisations to their projects, and to specify the permissions that the participant will have in that project.
